SHIPPING COSTS: I understand that the shipping costs have gone up and there are two reasons for this: 1st; USPS has gone up again! 2nd: I'm using extra fine pine shavings and this is heavier than shredded paper but I found that by using the pine shavings that the air cells are not getting detached due to the firm compact of the shavings. You will also notice that the weight that I have listed on the listing is the same weight that's on the shipping label, so I'm not adjusting shipping to make extra money. When you are rating me for shipping costs, please keep this in mind.
Please only purchase/offer if you are well experienced with hatching and understand the expected hatch rates of Serama are much lower than other chicken breeds and that I make no guarantee as to your results. There are many reasons shipped Serama hatching eggs will not hatch and this doesn't mean they were not fertile at the time I ship. Shipped Serama hatching eggs are a gamble and if you're not willing to take the gamble, please DO NOT purchase. The original importer of Serama, Jerry Schexnayder, reports average hatch of 45-60% on fertile, non-shipped eggs. Serama by nature are a fragile bird and much more difficult to hatch than the average bantams.
About Silver Creek Seramas:
I have over 300 Seramas of all types of patterns and feather types. I started selling their eggs 3 years ago so I could give them the best care as possible. I do not sell my eggs to make money and everything I do make, goes back to my birds for their care. I get anywhere from 3 to 4 dozen eggs per day and this is how I can send the freshest eggs as possible. I'm a member of SCNA (Serama Council of North America, NPIP and AI clean. All of my Seramas have come from some of the top breeders in the United States including the original importer Jerry Schexnayder from 2001 as live birds and/or hatching eggs.
response:
response is for the quality of eggs, shipping time, communication and not for your hatch, because I'm not responsible for hatch rates due to circumstances beyond my control such as postal handling, x-ray, late shipments by P.O., incubator conditions, etc.
SHIPPING COSTS
Please understand that I don't have any control over the cost of shipping and the weight is automatically calculate at time of purchase and if for any reason the cost is less than paid, I will offer extra eggs or a refund of the difference. I offer the flat rate shipping for buyers that live further away and if this is cheaper, please select the flat rate. I do not believe in raising the cost of shipping to make extra money and the price of shipping is the actual price USPS charges.
Packing of the eggs:
My eggs are individually wrapped in bubble wrap and layered in shredded paper, etc prior to boxing. This will ensure maximum protection for your eggs during shipping.
Thank you for your interest in my Serama eggs!
