Growing Poppies:
Select a sunny spot with well draining, sandy type soil.
Scatter seeds and very gently rake to distribute. Cover with no more than 1/16\" of soil.
Mist the soil whenever it appears dry. Germination occurs in 7-20 days.
Reduce frequency of irrigation once poppies reach 2-3” high as they do not like damp growing conditions.
Do not plant in hot weather. These seeds DO NOT like to germinate in Mid-Summer like weather, the best planting times being Fall-thru-late Spring.
Poppies do not do well as transplants.
