Ancient Roman Republican coin issued by moneyer Mn. Cordius Rufus at the Rome mint in 46 BC.

Obverse: Conjoined heads of the Dioscuri facing right, wearing pilei surmounted by stars. Portions of the legend RVFVS III VIR remain visible.

Reverse: Venus standing left, holding scales and scepter, with Cupid perched on her shoulder. Portions of the MN CORDIVS legend remain visible.

The coin is well worn and appears to have been cleaned in the past. Surfaces show roughness, scratches, deposits or toning, and other age-related irregularities. The flan is somewhat irregular, and portions of the legends and designs are weak or missing. Weight is below the usual range for this type. Although traditionally classified as an AR silver denarius, metal composition and authenticity have not been professionally tested or certified.
