The top is made from selected Italian spruce, while the violin features a beautifully flamed one-piece European maple back with a distinctive natural flame pattern. Matching European flamed maple is also used for the ribs and neck.
The tonewoods have been naturally air-dried for over 20 years, helping provide stability, resonance, and a mature tonal character.
A hand-applied antiqued oil varnish gives the violin its rich golden amber color and elegant old-world appearance while allowing the natural flame and character of the maple to remain clearly visible.
The violin features a French-made Despiau maple bridge, professionally fitted to the instrument, along with D'Addario Prelude J810 solid-steel-core violin strings, made in the USA.
