This is a set of Three .950 sterling silver spoons by Parisian silver & goldsmiths Henin & Cie with a traditional French acanthus leaf design as well as the Mascaron or Green Man on the reverse bottom below the clean medallions. This is a prominent feature as they were placed at the table face downward so the guests could see the etched family crest directly above the Mascaron.
Henin & Cie operated in the jewelry district in Paris using these hallmarks in the 19th century between 1875 - 1891.
The set includes 3 spoons, each measuring 8.5 inches in length and weighing 88 grams totaling 264 grams.. Today’s spot .925 silver price is $2.21 per gram and I am starting this sale around the melt value of .925 sterling.
I am selling the matching forks in a separate sale. If you purchase both please wait to win both sales before paying so I can combine shipping for you.
They are in very good condition.
I would be happy to answer any questions.
