Offered together is a striking collection of three antique hand-colored European copperplate engravings depicting Paris, Versailles and ancient Athens.All three prints have visible recessed plate marks around the images, consistent with impressions pulled from engraved copper plates. Each contains printed artist, engraver or title information within the sheet. The design was originally published during the 18th century; the precise edition of this impression has not been determined.Overall framed dimensions: approximately 23¼ × 17¼ inches.CONDITION:Antique condition with visible age-related toning, discoloration, minor spotting and general surface wear. The prints have been mounted to older brown backing boards. Frames and backing materials show wear, scuffs, small edge losses and other signs of age. Hand coloring is visible throughout, but the date when the coloring was applied is unknown.The Athens engraving has old handwritten inventory-style notations beneath the image. No certificates of authenticity or documented provenance are included.Please examine all photographs carefully. They are an important part of the description and show the exact artwork, inscriptions, coloring, mounting and condition.These appear to be genuine engraved impressions with visible plate marks rather than modern photographic reproductions.
