ABOUT THE LEATHER:This is a beautiful, vintage-distressed leather hide in a unique Turquoise and Gold Marbled effect. Weighing 3 to 4 oz. (approximately 1.2 to 1.6 mm), this chrome-tanned leather has a medium-soft temper that provides excellent drape and minimal stretch. Despite being new, rubbing the surface gives it a desirable vintage and worn feel.This leather is sold by the square foot (sq. ft.) and is best suited for smaller craft projects like leather jewelry, cardholders, patches, or trim. Please note that all pieces are cut to an irregular shape from the hide and not in a perfect 12x12 square. While each purchase guarantees at least one square foot of usable material, we recommend ordering a minimum of 3+ sq. ft. if you require a single, larger piece to ensure you have enough surface area for your pattern.

Square Footage: Based upon usable space on a hide. Example: 10 sqf of usable space, does not mean 10 perfect square pieces that you can cut from a hide.
Full Grain: Outer most layer of the skin. Can have scars, blemishes, bug bits, barbwire scratches and visible branding.
Top Grain (Also known as Corrected Grain Leather: Light removal of the top skin removing blemishes, scars, bug bits and will have low visibility of cattle branding. Still contains the outer most fibers for durability.
Vegetable Tanned: Organic materials used to dye the hide.
Chrome Tanned: Most popular tanning process using Chromium dyes with a wider variety of colors. Longer lasting color when exposed to direct sunlight, for example Automotive seats.
