Kei Apple(Dovyalis Caffra)
1 live two year old Kei Apple sapling 16\" tall (21\" tall in pot). Kei Apple is a small to medium-sized tree, native to southern Africa. It is a usually found in dry types of woodland when it grows to 6 m tall. In moister types of open woodland it can reach sizes of 8–9 meters. A tree, with sharp, 3–6 cm long stem spines in the leaf Axils, and large sturdy thorns. The fruit is edible bright yellow or orange with the several small seeds. Production is often copious, weighing down the branches during the summer. They are juicy, tasty with the flavor of mango and pineapple.
Plant comes in a standard 3.5x5\" square nursery pot with a house made high-end soil blend of peat, worm castings, organic composted yard waste and perlite mixed with top grade local soil.
