Up for sale is a 2010 Panini Timeless Treasures NBA Apprentice Materials Signatures Prime autographed memorabilia card of Trevor Booker of the Washington Wizards, card number 22, hand numbered 07/10. Photographed here front and back exactly as you will receive it.
Serial numbered 07/10. The print run is stamped on the card itself: 07/10. Only ten copies of this card exist anywhere in the world. That is the number on this specific card, not a general description of the parallel — it is photographed and you can read it for yourself.
What the manufacturer certifies. The back of the card carries the manufacturer\'s own wording, quoted here exactly: “The attached autograph and enclosed event-worn swatch are guaranteed by Panini America, Inc.”
Event-worn, and I am going to say so plainly. The material in this card did not come out of a regular-season game. Panini\'s own wording, quoted above, certifies it as event-worn — jersey worn at a league event such as the rookie photo shoot, where the year\'s draft class is put in its new uniforms for the first time. That is genuine, certified, league-sanctioned material and it is exactly what the manufacturer says it is, but it is not game-worn, and plenty of sellers will let you assume otherwise. I would rather tell you up front.
What PRIME means. Manufacturers reserve the PRIME designation for swatches cut from the parts of a jersey collectors actually chase — seams, stitching, piping, numbering, multi-colour panels — rather than the plain single-colour body of the garment. The word is printed on the face of the card, and the photographs show exactly what is behind the window.
Sticker autograph — and I am telling you rather than letting you find out. This signature is on a clear label applied to the card, not signed directly onto the card surface. Look closely at the photographs and you can see the edge of the label and Panini\'s authenticity watermark repeating underneath the ink. Panini\'s own wording on the back is “attached” for exactly that reason. Sticker autographs are how a great deal of this era was signed and they carry the same Panini guarantee — they simply are not the same thing as an on-card signature, and plenty of listings are happy to blur that line. The ink is bold and fully intact with no smudging or fading, and the label is flat with no lifting at any corner.
The look. Landscape. A cream field patterned with fine gold damask, a rust-red ·NBA APPRENTICE· roundel struck at the centre, Trevor Booker cut out to the left and a multi-colour prime swatch let into a rust panel on the right with the word PRIME printed vertically beside it. The signed label is set into the cream and the player\'s name runs in white caps along a rust bar across the top.
Trevor Booker. Washington took Booker 23rd overall in 2010 and he played 65 games with 14 starts as a rookie. Over eight seasons and 532 games he averaged 6.9 points and 5.5 rebounds while shooting 51.5 percent — a hard-nosed rotation big for five franchises.
About 2010-11 Panini Timeless Treasures. Timeless Treasures is Panini\'s old-money basketball release — cream card stock, gold filigree, and a checklist that runs from the current season straight back through the Hall of Fame. Nearly everything in the product is either serial numbered, signed, or carries memorabilia, and most of it is all three. The rookie cards at the back of the base set are on-card autographs on a leather panel, and the insert sets sit underneath them at print runs that fall away fast.
Condition. This card has been inspected front and back under direct light and is in near mint or better shape. Corners are sharp, the edges are clean, the surface is free of creases, dents and print defects, and the memorabilia window and foil are intact with no lifting. It has been stored in a penny sleeve inside a rigid top loader and has not been handled outside of protection. Please study the photographs closely — they are of the exact card you will receive, not a stock image, and they are the most accurate description of condition I can give you.
