2 Colony/Indiana Glass Constellation Footed Plates-Scalloped Up-Curved Rim-13\" For Sale

These two uncommon plates were found at an estate sale and are in the classic Constellation pattern produced by Colony Glass. Unlike the flat Constellation torte or cake plates, this version features a raised, gently curved plate and a scalloped rim, giving it a more elegant profile. It also features a rum well ring in the center. By \"ring,\" I mean a raised center instead of a full-dip traditional rum well; the dip goes around the raised center. Each measures 13 inches in diameter and weighs 3.75 lb; the glass is thick, bright, and highly reflective, showing off the constellation pattern when direct light shines on it. The footed base is sturdy and well‑balanced, giving the plates a height of 2.5\".

I had to do some research on this plate: As mentioned above, this style of plate is less common than the flat Indiana Constellation plate. The 1\" up-curved‑wall profile, shallow rum ring well, and footed base are from Colony’s mid‑century line, produced during the 1950s–1960s, which later became part of Indiana Glass.
