For sale, a wonderful antique 19th century rare to find bread knife.
It is marked on the stainless steel metal knife area \"J. Allder Croydon\"
He is Joshua Allder of South London, he owned the very first department store in London circa 1862 the United Kingdom major department store in Croydon England.
The wooden carved handle is all hand carved, it has wheat hops flower with carved shafts of wheat, nicely turned knob end. On the other side is also carved with small shafts.

The original untouched patina is wonderful!

The blade is 8 1/4 inches long,
Wonderful untouched patina, normal slight wear on the metal area. The signature is still bold.
It is in great used condition for it\'s age and use.
