Description
Vintage 1996 AMT/Ertl Star Trek “The Enterprise Incident” Legendary Space Encounter model kit, item #8254.
This is the large 3-ship display set featuring the USS Enterprise and two D7 battle cruisers inspired by the classic Star Trek episode “The Enterprise Incident.” The kit was designed with a fiber-optic lighting system, digital sound features and display base.
The box indicates the lighting/sound system includes fiber-optic filament, digital circuitry, audio components, power-source components, wiring, multiple light sources and reflective strips. Batteries, paint and cement are not included.
The kit appears to remain sealed in its original shrink wrap and has not been opened to inventory the contents.
Please note that the outer box is in very rough cosmetic condition. It has extensive age/storage wear including crushing, bowing, edge and corner wear, staining/discoloration, dirt/grime, scuffing and significant general shelf/storage wear. The shrink wrap itself also shows considerable wear and wrinkling. This is very clearly not a mint collector-grade box.
Because the package remains sealed, the internal parts have not been inspected or tested. Electronics, fiber-optic components and other age-sensitive contents are therefore untested and cannot be guaranteed after approximately 30 years.
Excellent candidate for someone who wants to build the kit rather than display a pristine box.

Outer box has heavy storage/age wear including crushing, bowing, staining, discoloration, grime, scratches/scuffs and significant edge/corner wear. Shrink wrap is also heavily worn/wrinkled.
