This highly original 1981 DeLorean DMC-12 shows approximately 6,500 miles and is equipped with the desirable combination of a black leather interior and three-speed automatic transaxle. It presents extremely well, starts reliably, runs well and is an excellent driver.
RECENT DELOREAN MIDWEST SERVICE
In late June 2026, Mike at DeLorean Midwest completed $3,181 in service and repairs. I personally consider Mike the best DeLorean mechanic and would not have taken the car anywhere else. The work included repair of the air-conditioning system, which is now operational. The invoice and related documentation are included with the car.

CONDITION
The stainless-steel body presents beautifully, and the car remains exceptionally well preserved for its age. It retains many highly original components and has the classic factory appearance collectors seek.
Known cosmetic imperfections include a dime-sized ding on the left side that is difficult to notice, scratches in the gray bumper paint, some headliner sagging and other minor age-related imperfections. Please review the photographs carefully for the complete cosmetic condition.

A battery-disconnect switch is installed behind the passenger seat, along with a trickle-charger connection for convenient storage when the car is not driven regularly.

The five-digit odometer displays approximately 6,500 miles. A clean Carfax report is shown. Because of the vehicle’s age, title documentation may designate the mileage as exempt or mileage not required.
