Written by computer pioneer Gordon Bell, who went on to oversee development of the VAX, this historic book traces the evolution of Digital Equipment Corporation\'s computer systems from the Lincoln TX-2 back in 1958 all the way to the microprocessor-based LSI-11. In addition to numerous tables, charts, schematics, and code listings, the book is filled with photos of each model, both exterior and interior, and their associated circuit boards/flip-chip modules. There\'s also a foreword by DEC co-founder Ken Olsen. All in all, a great in-depth look at the early days of computing.
Apart from a little cover wear, the book is in very good condition. Hardcover, 585 pages. Copyright 1978. Published by Digital Press.
