The Mar y Sol Pop Festival was a major Rock Music Event held April 1, 2 & 3, 1972on 420 acres of land near Los Tubos Beach in Manatí, Puerto Rico. Attended by an estimated 30,000 to 35,000 people, it featured legendary 1960\'s & 1970\'s Acts amid intense heat and logistical challenges.
Organized by promoter Alex Cooley, the festival brought top international rock, blues, and jazz artists to the Caribbean, alongside local Puerto Rican groups. Notable performers included:
- The Allman Brothers Band
- Emerson, Lake & Palmer
- Alice Cooper
- B.B. King
- Mahavishnu Orchestra
- Faces (with Rod Stewart)
- J. Geils Band
