Original A.C.F. Japanese porcelain ware bowldecorated in Hong Kong, in Imari Meiji style. Bought in Hong Kong in 1970s - agenuine true vintage piece, highly collectable decorative bowl. Has been incareful storage for several decades, so in excellent condition. The bowl inencased/clad in bronze/brass. (There are some marks on the bronze/brass whichcould be removable - I have left in original vintage condition).The imagery is classic Imari with the plate in segments. The centre is anabstract apple with leaves, then the surrounding sections are extracts of atypical Japanese tea house with touches of leaves and flowers. Lovely colouringof Imari blue on white, with gold detailing mixed with red and pastel green& purples. Hand-painted, you can feel the brush strokes.Base stamp reads: ‘Japanese Porcelain Wear’ ‘A.C.F. Decorated in Hong Kong’.Approx measurement: Diameter 7.75 inches (19.5cm) xHeight is approx 1.75inch (4.25cm)
