Very cool vintage Stewart-Warner six-gauge instrument cluster for a 1965-1966 Ford Mustang, built in a custom racing-style bezel with the look and layout associated with the early Shelby GT350 R-model race cars. This is a really neat period-style setup for a vintage Mustang race car, road-race build, or anyone looking to give their Mustang that old-school competition look.
The cluster features Stewart-Warner electric gauges for fuel level, water temperature, speedometer, tachometer, oil pressure, and oil temperature. These are electric gauges, not mechanical-style gauges with a fixed mechanical line running to the gauge. The fittings and additional components shown in the photos are included with the sale.
The custom gauge bezel is a vintage used piece and shows signs of previous use, including scratches, marks, wear, and other imperfections consistent with its age and history. There are also two holes drilled into the bezel for indicator lights. The indicator lights themselves are not included, allowing the new owner to install the style and color of indicator lights desired for their particular application. There is also one mounting hole where a previous hole was missed and another hole was drilled nearby. This area is shown in the photos and is being pointed out for full disclosure.
Overall, this is a very cool vintage racing-era gauge setup with plenty of character. The Stewart-Warner gauges combined with the custom six-gauge layout give it a great period competition appearance and would be an excellent addition to a 1965 or 1966 Mustang being built in a vintage race, road-race, or Shelby GT350 R-style configuration.
