Description:
Genuine OEM General Motors exhaust manifold heat riser valve, part number 3887034. Designed for 1962-1974 Chevrolet Corvette applications with 2-1/2\" exhaust manifolds. This is the correct right-hand (RH) valve used on both small block and big block engines including 327, 396, 427, 454, and 409 applications.
Heat riser valves are critical for proper cold start operation, remaining closed to direct exhaust heat toward the intake manifold and choke system. This unit installs between the exhaust manifold and the exhaust pipe (Y-pipe), restoring proper OEM function and drivability.
