1961 Vertex Revue dress watch in beautifully preserved, all-original, unpolished condition, complete with its original presentation box, brown leather strap, and solid 9k gold buckle.An elegant Calatrava-style design with a powder-white dial, applied gold-tone Arabic numerals at 12, 3, and 9, arrowhead hour markers, and a finely patterned subsidiary seconds dial at 6. The restrained dial and slender lugs give it a particularly handsome mid-century appearance.Powered by the Swiss-made, manually wound Revue Calibre 81 with 19 jewels. The English-made case features a solid 9k gold mid-case and an original solid 18k gold caseback—an unusual combination. The inside of the back is signed Vertex, marked “Made in England,” and hallmarked as pictured.The watch retains its fixed gold strap bars and original brown leather strap with solid 9k gold buckle. The 18k caseback alone weighs 7 grams. The remaining gold components have not been weighed separately, as removing the original strap from the fixed bars would require damaging it.Excellent overall cosmetic condition for its age, with light surface wear, minor dial aging, and wear to the original leather strap visible in the photographs.
