1952 Mussorgsky Pictures at an Exhibition Piano Score Authentic Edition IMC 1250 For Sale

I’m selling this vintage International Music Company edition of Modest Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition for solo piano, catalog number 1250.

This is the Authentic Edition using the original version edited by Paul Lamm, with fingering by Isidor Philipp and an analytical foreword by Alfred V. Frankenstein. One of the features that makes this edition especially interesting is the inclusion of reproductions of the original artwork associated with the composition, including images connected with The Great Gate of Kiev, Baba-Yaga’s Hut and other subjects represented in the suite.

The complete piano score includes Promenade, Gnomus, Il Vecchio Castello, Tuileries, Bydlo, Ballet of the Chicks in Their Shells, Two Polish Jews, Limoges, Catacombae, Con Mortuis in Lingua Mortua, The Hut on Fowl’s Legs and The Great Gate of Kiev.

The score carries a 1952 International Music Company copyright and catalog number 1250. The pages shown are clean and the printed music remains clear and easy to read. The covers have normal age and handling wear, including light edge and corner wear and some creasing. This is a solid vintage working score as well as an interesting edition for a classical piano collection.
