The bottoms of the shakers are marked Japan. The shakers were made by PY in the 1950\'s in Japan and are in the shape of colorful teddy bears waving and dressed in bows. In true PY fashion, they are each slightly different, and looking at each other and finished with a rich thick glaze. One shaker is powder blue in color and is designed with a pattern of yellow and pink intersecting circles that are outlined in black. It has yellow paws and pink ears with a pink bow tied around its neck. One half of the other shaker is mint green with blue polka dots and the other half is pastel pink with a burgundy snowflake pattern. The bear has white paws and pink ears and has a yellow bow tied around its neck. They have adorable blushing faces with delicately detailed features. The shakers are wonderfully hand painted and beautifully colored.
