Vintage Martin 2-17 1927 Mahogany serial #29012
Body: Mahogany
Neck: Mahogany neck with 1 3/4” wide nut and rosewood fretboard with small dot inlays
Cosmetic condition: the body has some light checking. There’s light scratches on the body here and there, but nothing severe. There are no cracks to be found. The neck is in similar condition with minor scratches on back. The headstock just has minor wear around the edges and is in excellent condition. This 2-17 is in fantastic shape for its age.
Weight: 2lbs 10ounces
Modifications: All work has been done by Martin in Nazareth, PA in 2013 they installed a new Brazilian bridge, faced off solid frets, reset neck with hide glue and leveled top after bridge was removed. I have all paperwork and receipts from martins totaling $1150. Also have the receipt for previous owners purchase. All paper work will be sent with the guitar.
You will not find a guitar that plays such a rich elderly sound.
I would not sell this if I didn\'t have medical debt killing me. Need money asap to stay alive. I have all documentation of service by Martin. I paid 5k for the guitar so I\'m taking a huge loss here. I am trying to pay medical bills and save my life. This is a guitar you would have to pry outta my dead hand if I was healthy.
