Indian Side (Official Reverse per U.S. Mint): Designed by James Earle Fraser. Depicts a Native American figure standing in full headdress with a bow in his right hand and left arm extended eastward across a faint map of the United States. Inscribed with UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and HALF DOLLAR.
Mint Mark: The small \"S\" mint mark is clearly visible on the obverse directly above the edge rim, between the words \"HALF\" and \"DOLLAR\".
