Rare 1920s Halloween Party Invitation – Witch & Pumpkin
A wonderful piece of early Halloween history!This original American-made Halloween party invitation features a wonderfully illustrated witch preparing a bubbling pumpkin cauldron, with the charming message: “This witch is cooking up lots of fun for our Halloween Party.”The most special detail is that this invitation was actually used for a Halloween party.
The handwritten date appears to read: Friday, Oct. 21, 1927
And interestingly, October 21, 1927 really was a Friday!The card measures approximately 4 3/8\" W x 4 5/8\" H.There is a small “MADE IN U.S.A.” marking along the bottom, but no manufacturer or publisher name is present. Maker is unknown, and I am not attributing this piece to Dennison.The card has age toning and some discoloration consistent with an almost 100-year-old paper item. The colorful printed illustration remains wonderfully preserved, and the original handwritten party information adds tremendous charm and historical interest.A lovely collectible for a vintage Halloween, antique paper, ephemera, or 1920s collection.🎃 Nearly 100 years old and still carrying the details of an actual Halloween celebration — a truly special piece of Halloween history!
