Description
This is an original Imperial Japanese commemorative scroll from the year 1915 (Taisho 4), issued during the enthronement of Emperor Taisho.
The scroll features:
- Official portraits of Emperor Taisho and Empress Teimei
- A lithographed replica of the Taisho Enthronement Commemorative Medal Certificate
- The Chrysanthemum seal (Imperial crest)
- Original framing brocade (green patterned fabric)
- A ceremonial message expressing imperial gratitude for service
This scroll was presented to individuals who contributed to the ceremonies or national service at the time, and served as a family honor and heirloom. The certificate reproduces the formal text stating the recipient’s name (now removed), along with the date (December 10, Taisho 4) and imperial seals.

📦 Condition: Antique with minor wear, some foxing and damage from insects, as visible in photos. The nameplate area is removed.
