Beautifully bound in a custom half leather prize binding with marbled paper-covered boards, raised bands, elaborate gilt spine decoration, and red-stained page edges. Front board stamped in gilt:

Prize inscription dated July 1913 to the front endpaper.
Illustrated throughout, including portrait frontispiece and numerous illustrations by Cruikshank, Leech, and others.
Condition is Very Good. Binding remains sound and attractive. Leather spine shows expected rubbing and wear, primarily at joints and extremities. Gilt spine lettering remains bright and highly legible. Marbled boards retain strong color. Interior pages are clean with scattered age toning and occasional foxing. Prize inscription present. No loose pages noted.
