Rare, Original 1905 Northern Pacific Railway first class passenger ticket issued for the Lewis and Clark Centennial Exposition and Pacific Coast Conventions in Portland, Oregon. Ticket includes the attached Joint Agent’s Validation Certificate from the Trans-Continental Passenger Association, stamped and signed for travel. This rare survivor features period handwriting, punched validation marks, and original purple backing paper with security printing. A scarce piece of early 20th-century railway and exposition history.
Condition:
Fair to good antique condition. Ticket shows tears, folds, creases, edge wear, and handling marks consistent with age and travel use. Validation certificate remains attached. Paper has toned with age but text and printing remain legible.
Item is shipped padded inside a polypropylene sleeve with hard backing. Inside of a protective box.
