Complete six-volume antique book set of The Works of Tobias Smollett, published by The Nottingham Society in 1902.
This subscriber edition was limited to 1,000 sets, and this is set No. 523. Bound in red leather with marbled boards, gilt-decorated spines and gilt top page edges. Each volume includes an illustrated frontispiece with a tissue guard.

All six volumes are present. The bindings are intact. The leather spines show rubbing and areas of loss, particularly along the top and bottom edges, with heavier wear to Volumes I and V. The marbled boards show some edge and corner wear. The gilt lettering and decoration remain bright and clearly visible, and the gilt top page edges are still present. The interior is very clean, no missing pages and easy to read.
