This large 19th-century bound volume contains original issues of Harper’s Weekly with extensive period journalism and numerous detailed illustrations, engravings, portraits, industrial scenes, city and harbor views, historical subjects, and other period imagery.
The interior is in very good condition for its age, with clean, readable pages and well-preserved illustrations. No writing or markings were noticed in the pages examined.
The main condition issue is the original binding, which shows substantial age-related wear. The spine and outer edges are heavily worn, with areas of deterioration and separation. The spine covering is partially detached and fragile, but the interior text block remains together.
Because of the age and fragile binding, the volume has been handled carefully and has not been exhaustively checked page by page.
