This is an original signed letter from William Mountcastle to Captain Orr Als regarding the location of bacon that was in the hand of Geo. Simpson etc. Interesting letter regarding history in 1864 during the Civil War. It’s in a frame. I have not taken it out of the frame. There’s a little note that says that this letter relates to the wilderness Spotsylvania  Cold Harbour campaign, April through May 1864
