1862 Indian Cent Copper Nickel, PCGS AU-58
This coin belongs to the Type 2 subtype of the Indian Head Cent, struck in an 88% copper, 12% nickel alloy used from 1860 through mid-1864, and features the oak wreath and shield reverse introduced in 1860 to replace the original one-year-only laurel wreath design. This example has been certified PCGS AU-58. A good exemplar to include in a type set.
