Condition for age as shown. 1860s CIVIL WAR COVER ENVELOPE "Cant Do It Eh?" SECESSION Hand Colored. Measures 3 & 1/8 X 5 & 1/4". Many years ago I bought a humongous 5" thick patriotic civil war covers scrapbook with hundreds of patriotic civil war covers, mostly all unused. It came from the TANGEMAN ESTATE in CINCINNATI. It was put together by the matriarch of the family during the civil war. CINCINNATI was a leading printing city during the civil war and alot of these were printed in CINCINNATI. TANGEMAN HALL on the UNIVERSITY OF CINCINNATI CAMPUS is named for this family. The covers were glued in on the verso edges, so there is faint glue lines on verso back edges. Overall they are in very good condition. Most of them were easy to steam out on the edges. I lost very few. I guarantee 100% that every one of these civil war covers is authentic. I SHIP IN PLASTIC SLEEVE WITH TRACKING BETWEEN 2 PIECES OF CARDBOARD. Just remember enlarged photos or scans tend to exaggerate any flaws.
