Rich burgundy brown patina across decidedly mark fee fields. An even coating of micro-roughness in the open fields gives way to hard copper devices, providing an appealing circulated Cameo effect and highlighting the meaty details. The small planchet clip is visible at 7:00 from the obverse but is easier to see in the ANACS slab on the reverse at about 11:00. Seldom seen on these early issues. CPG (Now called Redbook Quarterly) lists a non-Mint Error example at $310 in F12. (Two cracks are noted for accuracy on the front of the slab.)
