Group of 17 folio-sized engraved plates (plus the original title page) from the 1st Illustrated Bible printed in America; 1791. Published by Isaiah Thomas. They certainly need work. But if your looking at this offering you more than likely already have a good idea of their rarity. The majority of these 1791 Bibles were sold with just a couple of engraved plates (extra engravings were costly).
