This early 1/2 Real cob from Mexico is an incredible piece of history recovered from the shipwrecks of the 1715 Fleet. The 1715 Fleet was a group of treasure ships that sank off the coast of Florida during a hurricane on July 31, 1715. These ships were loaded with gold, silver, and gems taken from the New World and were heading back to Spain with hopes of boosting the economy.
