Antique Thai Sawankhalok stoneware jar with twin petite strap handles
Piriform shape, with incised band just above the foot.
Ribbed body covered with a dark brown glaze to lower midsection.

Sawankhalok ceramics became central to the region’s export trade from the 14th century, when the early-to-middle Ming dynasty reduced their export wares. The Thai kilns stepped in to fill in the “Ming gap” during this period.
Dates to 15th century, during Thailand’s Sukhothai period
