Censored Cover: Due to censorship by the Franco regime in Spain, Andy Warhol's original cover (which featured a close-up of jeans) was banned for being considered obscene. Alternative Design: The new cover, known as the "finger can," was designed by John Pasche and Phil Jude, showing fingers emerging from a can of molasses. Musical Content: In addition to the cover change, the song "Sister Morphine" was removed from the Spanish version and replaced with a live version of "Let It Rock."
The censorship not only affected the artwork but also the songs included: Deleted song: The track "Sister Morphine" was banned due to its explicit drug themes. Substitute song: The Spanish edition included a live version of "Let It Rock," originally by Chuck Berry.
