This is an opportunity to own a nice piece of history from the migration period of the 4th century. It is an imitative coin of the migration period struck in the outer reaches of the Roman Empire. These were often German tribes such as the Vandals and Goths. This is a genuine imitative coin of Constantine the Great, known as a Christian emperor, struck in bronze, and in the exact condition you see pictured. This coin features a portrait of Constantine I on theobverse and II XX on the reverse. This is a coin type that has been sought after by collectors for years. It is a chance to own one that is guaranteed authentic. Grading is subjective. In my opinion, this coin is VF. It has a nice portrait and is a bold strike with a bold legend. RIC 237 of Constantine I is the coin the reverse was patterned after. The obverse is considered by some to be Crispus because he is facing left. However, Crispus never had a VOT XX coin, thus leaving most to still believe it is Constantine the Great.
