Antique 1895 Complete Set Scenes of Parisian Life Honore De Balzac Vol 1 - 11 - 129 Years OldScenes of Parisian Life by Honore de Balzac published in 1895 by Rittenhouse Press. This is a COMPLETE 11 volume set. No markings, labels or writings with the exception of Vol 6 in the front of the book 'Ex Libris Previous Owner's Name' is written. No other volumes have a name or any writing in them - see photos of that one Ex Libris volume. Spines & bindings are in great shape. Only one volume has a broken front pastedown where you can see part of the internal binding but pages remain firmly attached. These books must have been kept in dry storage as there is no old, musty book smell. It may be hard to see in photos but each spine has Scenes Of Parisian Life followed by Balzar followed by decorative fleur-de-lis followed by Particular Title such as Petty Bourgeois then Volume Numeral then 2 fleur-de-lis and then at the bottom of the spine it says Rittenhouse Edition.
