As best we\'ve been able to surmise, the author offers up a theory which is essentially the idea that the white, Protestant, Anglo-Saxons are direct descendants of the Lost Tribes of Israel. In addition to some other notions, Jesus visited the British Isles.....He\'s even got a map !
This set of beliefs seemed to serve as both a justification of British Imperialism and explain why white Europeans are justified in coercion and colonialist dominance because they are divinely blessed by God and fulfilling some notion of prophecy. This line of thinking was a theological rationale for slavery, American Manifest Destiny, genocide, aggressive missionary activity, etc.

This book is RARE in jacket. The first we\'ve seen for this often well read and studied 4th edition which goes places and makes assertions not in the earlier editions.
