OurGold nuggets are natural creations out of the Neoarchean era andshould remain as found. Most specimens contain small amounts of hostrock, such as quartz or hematite. Acid cleaning or polishing alterstheir natural appearance and should be avoided for collector’sitems.

Nativegold is not found in ‘pure’ 24-carat form. Depending on itsorigin, it typically contains up to 96% fine gold, with the remainderbeing silver and traces of base metals.

Weare located in the East Murchison region of Western Australia, one ofthe world’s oldest (2,5 billion years) geological formations,renowned for producing exceptionally fine gold of 92–96% purity (22to 22.56 carat). To achieve 999.99 (parts per thousand) bullionquality, gold must be refined.

Mostof the world’s industrial gold nugget production is melted down. Toprevent this, nuggets should be priced at their actual gold valueplus a fair premium to reflect the effort involved in hand-mining,selecting, cleaning, and marketing.
