A superb vintage spirit level by renowned Sheffield toolmakerWilliam Marples & Sons Ltd, combining a solid wooden body with an attractive brass top plate.

Inexcellent vintage condition, especially considering its age, with the expected light marks, scratches and signs of use associated with an old working hand tool.
Please note thatone screw head is damaged, as shown in the photographs. Importantly, thebrass top remains firmly affixed to the wooden base, so this is mentioned simply for complete accuracy and honesty when describing the item.
The brass surface retains an attractive aged patina rather than having been heavily polished, and both the William Marples maker\'s mark and Warranted Correct Patent No. 423896 stamp remain nicely legible.
