Circa 1900's Antique Qashqai (Kashkai) Tribal Rug. Specifically from the Fars Province region, made by the Qashqai confederacy of nomadic/semi-nomadic weavers.
This is one of the most recognized and collectible tribal rug types.
Key identification markers are visible in the stepped diamond medallion format stacked vertically — classic Qashqai composition. Hooked latch-hook borders surrounding the medallions. Boteh-like and rosette filler motifs scattered throughout the field. Ivory diamond lattice main border — a hallmark Qashqai border treatment. Bird/animal figures visible in the field corners.
Palette: madder red, indigo blue, ivory, gold/saffron, teal accents — all consistent with natural dyes.
