This is a wonderful Bermuda WWII Censor cover. It was sent from Lisboa, Portugal to Hollywood, California, USA on 9/20/1940.It was initially censored with Censor tape 4319. However, the 4319 was crossed out with pencil and then a 159 WAS ADDED! This is some outstanding WWII Bermuda Censor Rarity!!!Why is this so special? Each Bermuda Censor received his or her own unique number that they would then use whenever they censored mail. When they were reassigned, any unused censor tapes remained behind and were then edited with a new censor number after the new censor came in.This irregular system only lasted a short time until the new censor received their own printed number tape. Covers like these with the edited number are EXCEPTIONALLY RARE!Ex. Flynn
