SIZE: This lidded box measures approximately: 3 & 7/8" x 3 & 7/8” ~ It has a height or depth of about 2”
DESCRIPTION: This sale features a vintage Wedgwood Jasperware lidded box. I believe it was intended for use as a small jewelry or trinket box. It is a lilac or lavender color which I believe to be a rarecolor. The design is neoclassical and bears the image of what I am nearly positive is a bearded cherub or angel. This is framed with a grape and vine border. This grape and vine design is also seen on the sides of the lower box portion. Please note that this piecedoes notcome with the original paperwork or box. It will go to the new owner just as it’s seen in the pictures. Either way, it would be a great addition for any Wedgwood collection.
MARKING: This piece marked on the bottom with “WEDGWOOD / MADE IN ENGLAND” and the letters “HB” (stamped twice).
CONDITION:FAIR~I am considering the age and use of this item when factoring the condition rating.This box appears to be doing relatively well for the age and use. There is some minor use and age wear seen — mostly to the very bottom edges (where it would be moved around on a table or similar).I also noted a few minor surface scratches — this includes a pretty obvious one on the very bottom (not sure if it’s a scratch or ink line — please see pictures for this).Aside from this, though, I do not see any chips, cracks, repairs, or missing pieces. All in all, I believe it's doing ok with all things considered. As such, I do feel it would be rated in Fair condition overall.
AGE/YEAR MADE: In researching this box, I believe it was likely made around 1971.

On nearly all of my items, if you are dissatisfied with your purchase, you are welcome to return it for a full refund within two weeks (14 days) from the day it was received. Return shipping will be paid by the buyer, though. In certain cases, I may sell an item for a close friend of family member that does not belong to me. Those are usually the only instances that I do not allow returns. I figure, if the item does not belong to me, I should allow that decision to be made by the person who does own it.
