I just finished restoring this amazing
1958 Magnavox Hi-Fi,
and wow is this playeramazing!!Every single piece of this beautiful unit was taken apart and redone.
Made in 1957, this is full tube powered,
and sounds incredible!Here's a small sample!

Every single part, from the tube amplifier,
to the record changer, speakers, cabinet, etc,
are thoroughly restored in careful detail,
with appropriate
electronic components, tubes, needles,
colors, covering, grill cloth etc, etc…
Everything is chosen specifically for each unit,
to make sure that the finished product not only looks amazing,
but sounds just as good as it did when purchased new....See all photos!
Console measures 20 inches wide,
by 19" deep, and stands 26" tall.
The solid wood cabinet was completely recovered
with beautiful vintage style coverings,
the same kind they used back in the 50's!Gold, silver and black grill cloth decorates the front,
along with gold tapered wooden legs with solid brass feet.( Legs have a few indents to the wood here and there,though nothing that really stands out, and only mentioned for accuracy.)The 4 speed Magnavox record changer
operates super smooth, was completely taken down,
cleaned and re-lubed in order to operate as it should.

The tonearm has a new stereo cartridge and stylus installed,
so you can play both Mono or Stereo records on this.You can also stack records, and each will drop in turn, and play through.
This beauty also comes with a fun 45 adapter,
which allows you to stack 45 records,
and they will all play automatically!
The main front controls allow you to adjust:
Loudness, Treble, and Bass.The tube amplifier has all new capacitors and resistors for long life....
Tubes consist of: 12AX7, NOS 35C5 output tubes, and a 35W4 rectifier.
You simply can't beat that incredible warm,
full tube punch this amplifiers puts out!Magnavox also packed three, (yes 3!), Alnico speakers in this beauty,
which provide an amazingly full sound, that feels like the musicians are right in the room with you!What more can I say?
An all together fantastic design from back in the day,
when every detail mattered...
