Up for sale is a stunning, authentic vintage 1950s/1960s Italian Florentine wood jewelry keepsake box. Handcrafted in Florence, Italy, this piece features a highly desirable domed "treasure chest" lid shape in the iconic Hollywood Regency / Baroque style.The box features the highly sought-after vibrant turquoise/teal and rich gold gilt colorway with incredibly detailed ornate renaissance style stenciling. The interior retains its original mid-century light tan flocked (fuzzy) protective lining. The bottom is cleanly stamped "MADE IN ITALY". Measures approximately 7.25 inches long, 4.5 inches wide, and 4.25 inches tall.PROVENANCE: This beautiful chest was discovered safely tucked away inside a clean vintage storage trunk in an attic.
