Vintage Woven Tapestry Wall Hanging Colonial Man Fishing Lady\'s Shoe from CreekColors are very muted - mostly tans and browns with subtle colors woven in.Sweet scene of a young lady leaning on the wooden rail of a bridge looking down at a young man getting her shoe out of the creek. She is wearing a hat, a long dress with an apron & a peplum. straw basket on the bridge beside her. He has below-the-knee short pants, a jacket, and is wearing a tricorn hat. There are a couple of geese in the left corner. Lots of trees, bushes, and ferns.Appears almost square - measures about 27 inches high and 30 inches wide. There is a short 1/4 inch fringe.
Very good condition. Slight musty smell but it will be hung outdoors to air out, which will hopefully remove it. I suspect it was made in Italy but no tag or stamp.
