Vintage wooden geared rubber motor winder lot for rubber-powered free-flight model airplanes.Included are the two wooden winding tools shown in the photos. The larger dual-ended winder is clearly marked:• HI-TORQUE WINDER
• HI-SPEED WINDERThe lot also includes the separate pistol-grip style wooden geared winder shown.These winders are designed for winding the rubber motors used in traditional free-flight model aircraft. Geared winders allow a large number of rubber-motor turns to be applied efficiently, while double/twin winding arrangements were historically used with multi-motor and twin-propeller aircraft.The construction is primarily wood with exposed mechanical gearing and plastic/red winding fittings. This is an unusual specialty model-aircraft tool set and appears substantially more elaborate than common modern plastic hobby winders.CONDITION:Pre-owned vintage condition with cosmetic wear, marks, discoloration and other signs of age/use.The winders have not been fully tested under load and are being sold as-is.
