Vintage wall crucifix, approximately 14” tall x 8” wide, solid wood with a detailed bronze tone corpus. The cross features “INRI” cast into a scroll above Christ’s head and an engraved brass plaque reading “Ste Anne de Beaupré” mounted on the crossbar — marking it as a souvenir from the famous Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré pilgrimage site in Quebec, Canada, one of the oldest and most visited Catholic shrines in North America.
These were traditionally purchased by pilgrims visiting the shrine and brought home as blessed keepsakes, often from the early-to-mid 1900s. The wood shows a rich natural patina with expected age wear; metal hanging loop intact on the back.
A meaningful piece for a collector of Catholic religious antiques, pilgrimage memorabilia, or home devotional decor.
